Reverse Lines

Paste multi-line text and get the lines back in reverse order — the last line becomes the first, and the first becomes the last. The content of each line is unchanged; only the sequence is flipped.

This is useful for reversing log files (to see the most recent entries first), flipping numbered lists, or reordering any line-based data without manually cutting and pasting. It's a single-purpose tool that does one thing well.

Everything runs in your browser — your text is never sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Does this reverse the characters in each line, or the order of lines?

It reverses the order of lines only. The text within each line stays exactly as it was — 'Hello World' remains 'Hello World', but the line that was last is now first.

What happens with blank lines?

Blank lines are treated as lines like any other and are included in the reversal. If your text ends with a trailing newline, you may see an empty line appear at the top of the reversed output.

Can I use this to reverse a log file?

Yes — that's one of the most common uses. Paste your log output and the tool puts the most recent entries at the top. Most log files write newest entries last, so reversing them gives you a 'most recent first' view.
