Open Graph Tag Generator
Open Graph (OG) tags control how your page appears when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, iMessage, and dozens of other platforms that render link previews. Without them, platforms guess at a title and image, often with poor results. This tool generates the og:title, og:description, og:image, og:type, and og:url meta tags from a simple form.
Fill in the fields and the corresponding HTML meta tags are generated live. Copy them with one click and paste them into your page's <head> section. The og:image tag is especially important — a compelling preview image dramatically increases click-through rates on social shares.

Frequently asked questions
What are Open Graph tags?▼
Open Graph is a protocol created by Facebook that lets you control how your web page is represented when shared on social media and messaging platforms. The tags are placed in your HTML <head> as <meta property="og:..." content="..."> elements.
What's the recommended og:image size?▼
Facebook recommends 1200x630 pixels for the og:image. LinkedIn uses a similar ratio. Images smaller than 200x200 pixels may not be displayed. Use a high-resolution image that looks good when cropped to a roughly 1.91:1 aspect ratio.
Do I need both OG tags and Twitter Card tags?▼
Twitter/X can fall back to OG tags if no Twitter Card tags are present, but the rendering may not be optimal. For best results on both platforms, include both sets of tags. Use the Twitter Card Preview tool on this site to generate the Twitter-specific tags.
