Frequently asked questions

What types of content can I encode in a QR code?

URLs, plain text, email addresses, phone numbers, Wi-Fi credentials, and vCard contact information. The QR code reader on the scanning device determines how the content is handled.

Is there a limit on how much data a QR code can hold?

Practically, QR codes work best with under 300 characters. Longer content creates denser codes that are harder to scan reliably, especially at smaller sizes or from a distance.

Can I customize the QR code's appearance?

You can set the foreground and background colors and adjust the error correction level. Higher error correction allows the code to remain scannable even if partially obscured or damaged.

Do the generated QR codes expire?

No. QR codes are static data — the encoded content is baked into the pattern. They never expire or stop working. If the encoded URL changes or goes offline, the QR code still scans but the destination may not load.
