The Paper Room

Time Zone Converter

Select a time, a source timezone, and a target timezone, and instantly see the converted time. The tool uses the browser's built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat API, which knows about every IANA timezone including daylight saving time rules, so conversions are always accurate for the selected date.

Includes all major timezones: US time zones, European capitals, major Asian cities, Australia, and more. The tool shows the full date and time in both zones, so you can see when a conversion crosses midnight into a different day.

Useful for scheduling international meetings, coordinating across remote teams, or figuring out what time a live event starts in your timezone. Everything runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. The Intl.DateTimeFormat API used by this tool is aware of daylight saving time rules for every timezone. Conversions are accurate for the specific date you select, accounting for whether DST is in effect in each zone on that date.

Why does the date change in the result?

If the time difference between the two zones crosses midnight, the converted time will be on a different date. For example, 11 PM in New York is 4 AM the next day in London.

Are all timezones included?

The tool includes the most commonly used IANA timezones covering major cities worldwide. If you need a timezone not listed, the Intl API supports the full IANA database — the dropdown is curated for usability.
