How does the cropping work?▼
The tool center-crops the image to fill the target dimensions. It scales the image so the shorter dimension fills the frame, then trims equal amounts from both sides of the longer dimension. The image is never stretched or distorted.
What format is the output?▼
The resized image is downloaded as a PNG file, which preserves quality without lossy compression. If you need a smaller file size, you can run the output through an image compressor afterward.
