Currency Converter
Convert amounts between 30 of the world's most traded currencies using live exchange rates. The converter fetches current rates from an open exchange-rate API when you first load the page, then caches them so subsequent conversions are instant. Supported currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, INR, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, and 21 others.
Select your source and target currencies from the dropdowns, enter an amount, and see the converted result immediately. A swap button lets you reverse the direction with one click. The tool also displays the exact exchange rate between the two selected currencies and the timestamp of when rates were last updated.
Exchange rates fluctuate throughout the day. The rates shown here are mid-market reference rates — your bank or payment provider may apply a spread or fee on top. For large or time-sensitive transactions, check your provider's actual rate. All processing happens in your browser; no personal data is stored or transmitted beyond the initial rate fetch.

Frequently asked questions
How often are the exchange rates updated?▼
The rates are fetched from the Open Exchange Rates API when you first load the page. The API updates its rates once every 24 hours. Refresh the page to fetch the latest rates. The 'Last updated' timestamp on the page shows exactly when the rates were last refreshed by the API.
Are these the rates my bank will use?▼
No. These are mid-market reference rates (also called interbank rates). Banks and payment providers typically add a markup (spread) of 0.5% to 3% or more on top of the mid-market rate. The actual rate you get for a transfer or currency exchange will differ.
Which currencies are supported?▼
The converter supports 30 major currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, INR, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, MXN, BRL, KRW, SEK, NOK, DKK, NZD, ZAR, SGD, HKD, THB, PHP, IDR, MYR, TWD, PLN, CZK, HUF, TRY, AED, and SAR. These cover the vast majority of international trade and travel needs.
Why does the conversion show a different result when I swap the currencies?▼
Currency conversion is not symmetric due to how rates are expressed. Converting 100 USD to EUR and then converting the result back to USD gives you 100 USD — the math is consistent. But the displayed rate in each direction is the reciprocal of the other (e.g., 1 USD = 0.92 EUR means 1 EUR = 1.09 USD).
Does this tool store my data?▼
No. The only network request is to fetch exchange rates from the API. Your amounts and currency selections stay in your browser and are never sent to any server.
